One day I was looking at a fountain stream and realised that it reminded me of a kind of crystal goblet stem. In fact, it is a pedestal on which an object or a character can be placed. In ordinary life this is impossible, but in photography it is achievable. It can stop the moment and freeze not only motion, but also water, turning it into another aggregate state — solid ice.
I’ve decided to place triallist Viktor Dariychuk on such a pedestal. According to the rules of this discipline, the athlete jumps from one object to another. And I had an idea to create a feeling that he jumped from the ground and climbed up to the crystal pedestal.
To realise the idea I started to look for a dry fountain. Such fountains do not have an open pool to collect water. The water pool is not on the surface, but underground. Visually it is just a stream that beats from the ground.
